I'm looking for a reasonably priced shipper to get interior parts from San Diego to Hawaii, about 400lbs total with packaging, any ideas?

For 400lbs. Terminal to terminal air freight should be your cheapest.
    Check around.

Air shipping may be more expensive than you need.

If you can ship through work, typically businesses get the best shippng rates (by a considerable margin, like 2/3 less than residential shipping).

If not, try somewhere like www.freighquote.com and see if they can help you find a good rate.

Or, you could break it up in to several smaller shipments and ship UPS?

UPS to the islands WOULD be air freight.
Be careful who you choose, the last thing you want is to be shipping via container ship.
I've had two very costly experiences with container shipping.

Check Delta AF, they were pretty resonable.
