We may try to make it in our pitifully slow 72. But my son would have a blast. Hopefully, I get to meet some of you other Texans.
Is there a "host hotel" or a certain one that the club recommends? My family and I are coming from Shreveport. Thanks, Allen
Dang, 400 mile drive for us. We would have to come in late late Friday or come Saturday and watch. We may have to pass. I don't think my wife will let me take Tyler out of school for this. She doesn't fully understand the importance.
Dag Nabbit! That's the same day as Bruce's PineWood Derby district runoffs, as well as a 60th anniversary at Linda's place of employment. At least I'll get *some* racing in, even if it's got a 5oz weight limit. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b391/jamyers/Pinewood/?start=all
I would say add a turbo but nitrous is lighter for your application. Sorry to hear you can't make it we will miss the 2NABOT.
Tell her it's educational. Map-reading involves problem solving, math, and reading. Not only that, it's "quality time", the kind you just can't replace. Seriously, Abilene's not exactly half-way, but I've got coffee and Dr Pepper if you need a pit-stop. Heck, we've even got an extra room you're welcome to if a place to stay Friday night would help. :beers2:
Phil: Will there be T-Shirts for sale? Maybe then I can just lie and say I was there. Seriously, if they are available I'd like to buy an XL. I'll send some money with JR. ....I can tust him.....can't I? Rick
Rick actually we did not do t-shirts this year. Thanks for asking. The Clubs will be bringing their shirts if your intrested.
She agrees that it is educational, but it is also her birthday. I drive through Abilene all the time, in fact, I will be through there tomorrow. I drive all over Texas every week. I'll try again to get him out of school, and get my wife a new set of pistons for her mustang. Keep that DP cold for me. That Friday night thing makes sense too. Maybe I can figure it out.
He gets out of school, she gets new pistons, you get to go racing - it's a win all around! You've got a PM.
