Can anyone help identify where this wire is supposed to go? I tried to look at the diagram in my manual but I'm having trouble figuring out where it is located. Thanks.

from my blown-up diagram, a pink wire attaches to the "+" side of the coil. In your case would that wire have been created by a previous owner for a tach?
I note that u have several wires on the coil. hope this helps..

Pretty sure that isn't original, so who knows?

Thanks to all for the replies, I was in a massive rush and didn't have time to follow up on this until now. In my fried state of mind I forgot that I cut the resistor wire for the ignition at the firewall and ran a new wire for close to full charging voltage needed to drive my MSD ignition. The terminal and wire is still part of my harness but gets no power feed from the car. Thanks everyone for helping to identify!
