I am gonna sit down and have a cool one :beer As I sit here and ponder, I think Duane is starting to look more and more like Alex Trebeck from Jeopardy when he had a mustache. Who/how did he get nominated to be the quiz master?????? o No: :Brow: Warrantee??? You guys are starting to sound like you are from the south. Bunch of silly yankees! It is warranty work! :TU:
Yep, the trilogy is my favorite Sci Fi. I like a lot of the classic movies too, but haven't seen much from the 40s. I do remember the old Flash Gordon reruns, and once caught Space Patrol on Nick@Nite - my Dad always told me about it, so it was fun to actually see.
George, What's wrong with mustaches? Everytime I check out a car for someone I approach it as a big quiz. It's like the answer is in front of me, now I have to figure out how it got this way. I am just trying to make everyone think a little. The real question here is, what info could those tags possibly have? I will even give everyone a little hint, when was Paul's GSX built? Duane
Mike Trom wins a cigar. Paul's car was built in May of 1970, and the number on his paper tags was week 20. So that would mean the door assemblies were completed sometime in late April, which would be perfect for his car. Duane
A cigar? Wow, all that thinking for a cigar? uzzled: Sheesh, wasted them brain cells for nuttin! Let me know when we can play for the big bucks!! :Brow: I have a "vision" for Salem: Heeeeeeeeeeeere's Duane and this is Buick Trivia!
Dang...I've been wasting my time working on cars (and my new garage) and missed the quiz! I agree with Duane, the #s mean the week of production. The tag I posted in this thread are on a '70 Nova that was built May 4th 1970 (per the build sheets) and the Body tag says 05A (the first week of May) which is the 18th week of the year. This is also the same dating system that is on the little white tag on your seatbelts, except it also includes the year. Duane is always handy to have around isn't he?
Ewwww, kuel Now I will check to see what mine say (since they are in my garage), being a 09A car, should be a very small number. Does this mean I could carefully remove them, and re-attach them to my Legendary repro's, and FOOL everyone when I say, even the orginal door panels are still on the car! Gee, I think I'll be lucky if I have 15-20% of the orginal parts on my car once finished. o No:
Dan yours should actually be a pretty high number like 35 or 36. Also most of the cars I've seen actually had these tags attached to the body and not the paper shield like my wifes little Nova. I was in a junk yard a couple of weeks ago and there was a totally stripped '72 Olds Cutlass 2-door and inside the empty interior the little tags were still attached to the body. Pretty neat.
Just keep feeding his ego Gary, he will never talk to anyone and we will have to refer to him as Buick God instead of a Buick apostle as he requested previously. ou:
George, I see that section called "See George before you buy" getting closer and closer to reality. Duane
