As a rule I pretty much go nowhere either because I can’t afford it or there is just too damn much stuff to do here. Won’t be long till we are empty nesters : ( and my wife said she would go too! After I was back conscious from her OFFERING to go we packed up our new puppy in the truckuhsaurus (Old suburban) and motored down the road. Don’t get excited,ZERO Buick’s, but a few cool cars a Bandit Trans Am,L-79(?) or (L-69?) Sherwood green Vette,AMC Super Sonic Transport(those fender eyebrows are still something only a Mom could love lol) but still like everything regardless of brand,Yenko Duece Nova (fake I am sure) but a legit silver 1969 396 SS Nova (nice owners too : ) a HUUUUUUGE 69 Caddy the owner didn’t even know his own engine size (462 or 501 only in 1970?) wheels weren’t up to my taste (rubber band tires as Dad use to call them lol) but WHAT A BEAUTIFUL paint job! Police officers were showing off too with there wicked Hemi “Special Response Team ride, then there was a nice finned Studebaker. Nasssssty dual Turbo 69 RS! Was just enough walking not to get all my effin(!!!)injuries fired up but was just a nice day we needed. Sorry there were no Buick’s but maybe one day mine will be there : )
One fer brutha Lucas! Just a set of wheels short of insanely jaw dropping! The huge like 7’ owner didn’t know what engine it had or painters name (“some guy in Utah”) but enthusiastically asked me if I wanted to see the motor, his “bodyguard” ( owner was probably some sports guy I obviously didn’t know) but his body guard (could have taken him easy! Heh heh)just grunted “V-12” lmao Wheel taste or not I freakin LOVED the paint! Could not find an imperfection anywhere! Damn I love a big 60’s or 70’s car. Outta scrap this “ GSX” & restore my 60 deuce ana quarter pervertible she’d Turn some heads and I even know the motor size even though V-12 does sound wicked! Lol
Besutiful 80 degree low humidity day in North Carolina. Hope our boyz are tearin it up in Ohio! Ride home wuz a lil RUFF though
Lol that was the “No Sir Officer all I have is a rabies tag and a cute tag telling you my owners numbers, is that one okay?”
That is a damn fine looking '69 John! Exact same body as mine with different grille, taillights, and a couple other little things like they used to do on yearly changes back then, but essentially the same car as mine. So now you know how big I'm rolling when I'm out in mine hahaha...... yeah the wheels got to go on that one, beautiful otherwise! It'd be a 472 from the factory.....one time I pulled up to a stoplight next to a Miata. Our front bumpers were even, but his back bumper was at my door handle. Thanks for posting that beauty for me
...like small local shows, even with no Buicks. Always something interesting. "Jack Blank Pontiac" well-known DC dealer to old-timers like me...
