Lifter preload with rocker shaft

    IMG_8899.JPG IMG_8898.JPG Just for fun, I disassembled a lifter tonight from the donor motor.

    I've heard that an easy way to figure out existing preload is see if a small paper clip of known diameter fits between the cup and retainer.

    You still need one to determine what length you need.

    Thanks Larry. Any Suggestions on where to get one decent one? Also, do I have to have the lighter checker springs in when adjusting length?
