let's see your 70-72 gs fiberglass hood supports

    As the title says.my 70 gs racecar hood bows up pretty bad in a stiff headwind.looking to brace it up.probably from the core support UT would like to see others.

    Glass a strip of 1/4 thick aluminum up both sides , that should definitely help

    Can't supply that as I don't have a glass hood, but that thickness of aluminum would/should maintain the shape of the hood at speed, it along with needed amount of glass to bond it on would exponentially strengthen it

    I'm not sure if it's a weight problem as much or just a air dam problem. the air enters the grill area and pushes the front of the hood up.it actually is enough to bend the outer hood pins inward. I thought I saw someone's car pics of zuets fasteners in the center of the hood . I'll post mine when I get it finished.

    Block the grill off with plexiglass or lexan = problem solved = faster car.

    Here you go Dan, its on Scat but the same principle will work on a 70-72.
