Just came across these while surfing the net. Anyone know anything about them? I searched their site and they have them for my "72 Skylark. If they are a true plug and play I'd love to give them a go! https://www.headlightexperts.com/le...bLxLG4LfVdx2UlNRQqBjASmcmnMu8aK_b9KuKgqOIwC-8
We put a set on a Malibu this past weekend just plugged them in. However, I have HID on my Skylark and I would recommend ceramic ends being installed on your headlight harness. The build plugs do get hot
I'm at the two-year mark on my conversion and they are still working fine. Granted, I'm not daily driving my GS but I have had zero issues with the headlights beyond what I can attribute to 50-year-old wiring and needing to clean the contacts and clean the grounds.
The tech nerd in me wants to do one of these conversions. Especially with the hi beams projecting energy levels just south of a plasma cannon. Then I remember how little I drive the car in the dark and that upgrading the harness and adding relays a couple years back made the halogens pretty effective so I spend the LED conversion money on guns or something else....
200 bucks for the low beam conversion they better damn well work FOREVER! I converted mine to sealed beam halogen 'bout 35 years ago, got 'em from the Kresge store for a buck a piece, their still shining brite
Do you really think they are better than Ford trucks across the intersection BLINDING you with their stupid lights. Id rather invest in a Co2 BB gun.
Same here. Did the relay thing, put LEDs in the bumpers, don't drive the Skylark in the dark. I'll spend the money on something else as well. Probably sumting to go FASTER...JIM
. It can cost that and a bit more. But for me well worth it. I went with a company out of Florida. They set up every year at our yearly CTC. 30 years in autol ighting busness. I did every light, except for dome and cluster. Really helped on the Amp draw at night. Electric Fans and fuel injection with Head lights were pulling hard on the alternator. Not including A/C and stero. No more problems
