Leaf Blower Boost?

Crazy I know but from what I've seen it can be made to work. I was at a buddys house and saw a mag where someone had put 5 leaf blowers into the hatch back on a old Camero and ran a stock 350 into the 10's. Havent been able to find a vid to it on the net but theres many others where people have tried this.

 

That seems like a stretch but I do remember reading an article in one of the Hot Rod magazines several years ago where just for fun they put 2 Craftsman leaf blowers on mid-80s Corvette and picked up something like 23 horsepower.

 

If it were that easy, Honda's across the country would be driving around with them duct taped to the hood ... Pull starts shoe-lace extended to the side view mirror

I had my doubts at first. But the Dyno tells the truth. You just need to find five leaf blowers. I guess it just goes to show that an internal combustion engine is just an air pump. Pretty wild.

There are cheaper ways to make more horsepower than leaf blowers. Yes it kind of works, smaller the engine the better, but dollar for dollar you'd pick up more HP or ET's a different way. Hot Rod also had a recent episode of Road Kill where they stuck five or six leaf blowers on a Monza with a 350.

 

My mind is a scheming about how I could use this on the Regal. Probably will never act on it though.
