Hi all, I figured I'd open a thread about making 75 up x-bodies handle a bit better.

Some parts like upgraded role bars, etc. are pretty easy to find; for others, even the guys over at the nova forums don't seem to have any concrete information on where things can be bought, what swaps in (74 down they do), what works and what doesn't. Just not enough interest I guess.

And ALOT of "info" out there is just old man talk like they are pushing viagra (make it stiff, make it stiff, WHY ISN"T IT STIFF YET?!).

The x body is a unibody and already better than a bolt on frame for a road car; it's just subframe we need to worry about. And strengthening the old school way can ruin you torsional flexing advantage, aka the car twist a bit in corners to keep the wheels down better. These cars need to be set up like improved in a method of how a regular honda is turned into a tuner more than how a 65 is made decent.

I'd like to discuss what rakes work or look best with the Buick 350 up front, any available modes for the front steering boxes, etc. anyones found and especially tried.
Or if anyones retro graded parts/ made a bastard kit (74 and lower f body with 75, etc. etc. etc.).

Not interested in brakes, etc. Just chassis.
    :3gears:

There is quite a lot available for the 75-79 cars. remember, parts from Camaro's will fit our x-bodies (although I forget exactly what years). sway bars, tubular a-arms, cal track rear bars, polyurethane bushings.

should take just about anything a 70-81 camaro would..atleast front subframe wise

Does the front steer/ rear steer setup difference effect fitting things onto the 2 types of spools?
