Ladder bars for my 69'

    Dubuick,

    Looks good! Are you planning to put the diagonal tubes in to tie the crossmember to the roll bar? They go up through the floor and weld to the main hoop, just below the seat bar. I don't have a pic of one, but someone else might. I know it greatly reduces flex. Just imagine supporting the whole weight of the car on that crossmember. That's what happens when the ladder bars push up during a launch. Just trying to help. Maybe you already had it planned.

    Go back to Gary's post, #8, and look at the pictures. I recommend you add these bars as well.

    Yup I'm putting all of the supports on know going from the the frame in front of the xmember and down from the roll cage hoop to the xmember also have the shocks working on them to

    ok here are some support bars there just tacked in i'll weld them up when i do the rest of the roll cage

    Well the car is just about done I got some pictures to post i'll do them tomorrow figure i would up date it look cools I hope it works as good as it looks!!!

    The ladder bars are not completely done but I hope to finish it this weekend my also working on the roll cage and the fuel system then the front shock and springs ...............

    Mike,

    Looks good!

    Something I just noticed. From the pic it doesn't look like there's any metal covering the fuel cell sump. NHRA requires the platic cells be covered with steel so loose parts don't puncture it during a race. Just passin on some info.
