This is our 69 Skylark with G60’s on front and L60’s out back, all on 15x7’s

Those are BF Goodrich Radial T/As. Was Coker making BF Goodrich Radial T/A G60s and L60s in 2020? The only L60 they are selling in 2023 is the Goodyear Bias Ply.

Or are those BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires many decades old?

These tires are at least 40 years old, they’re off my Dad’s GSX but have always been stored properly. He put goodyear polyglas back on his car. Rubber is a little hard but no dry rotting or cracking. I love how the L60 fills the wheel well on the 68-69 cars

Yes, they look great. I’d like to have a similar stance. That’s very promising that those fit so well.

L60’s fill out well on 1972’s also. G60’s on the front.

That looks awesome Mark, but those are radials in the back in that picture? Did you ever get a chance to remove one of the rear wheels and measure the back spacing of the wheels with the L60's? I'd be very surprised if it was the stock 4 3/8". Everything I have seen suggests that the 68-69 cars need more back spacing than the 70-72's to fit a tire of that size.

He said in another thread they are Coker reproductions. Coker 15x7 reproductions are 4” bs but apparently until last year you could get custom bs, so maybe he has custom bs? That’s what I’m worried about that the Coker won’t have enough bs for the 68. I don’t understand why Coker isn’t making the reproductions with more bs since that’s what everyone wants even for 70-72.

There is no way 4” is enough on a 68-69. Coker and Wheel Vintiques are the same now, no custom back spacing.

Larry, I never did measure those Coker wheels with the BF Goodrich tires. The car has a 275/60/15 on it now(see pics) with an original set of WG wheels off my Dad’s X. There is a little bit more room with this wheel(WG) than the Coker wheel. Not much more, maybe 1/4”-3/8”more space from the inner wheel well lip. But the Coker wheels and BFGoodrich combo that were same size as L60’s never rubbed either.

I think you should measure them when you get a chance so other guys know for sure. It would be a shame if someone with a 68-69 car goes ahead and gets some 15 X 7's with stock back spacing, based on this thread, and mounts them with big tires, and then discovers that they rub badly.

The WG wheel has 4” backspace so would be equivalent to the 15x7 Coker/Wheel Vintiques reproduction?

According to the chart, all the 15 X 7" wheels have 4 3/8" BS, even the WG.

You may be correct. There’s a an article on WGs mentioned in this thread that says 4” bs, but seeing as someone has actually measured two dozen of them, seems they must all be same bs.

It doesn't really matter whether it is 4" or 4 3/8". It may not work depending on the tire size, or not. It obviously works on Mark's car, that's why I wanted him to take a wheel off and measure.

I’ll measure the Coker wheel next time I’m up in the loft area where they’re stored
