Good morning all. Newbie here! I’m picking up a 67 Riviera with a 1970 GS engine in it (and the original 430 on a stand). The 455 needs a full rebuild, as the current owner thinks the cam went out during a spirited drive. I’d like to leave the rebuild and modifications to a pro, but as I understand it they need to be experienced with the BBB for best results. Anyone have suggestions for me? Also, what “while we’re in there” things should I be doing for a mostly spirited street driven car? At this point I’m considering- Groved T/A bearings A mild T/A cam with roller lifters A few of the oil passage mods shown on this site T/A shorty headers and exhaust Pertronix All help will be greatly appreciated! Chris
Your neck of the woods! I’m on Camano. Willing to take it pretty much anywhere in Wa to get it done right though...
