Knob Replacemrnt

    I have a rusty knob on my '69 heater control and a nicer one on my '70 part. How can I remove the knob on the slider part? I thought you just inserted something in the opening but that doesn't seem to work.

    The knob on the hot- cold slider on the heater heater control on a 70 GS is plastic. Im pretty sure its plastic on a 69 as well. In which case, it just pulls off. Not sure what opening your talking about

    Thanks, I tried pulling them but tried again. One came off with a hard jerk, the other required some prying but finally popped off too. I was amazed that the plastic held that tight for all these years.
