    Hi Chris,

Congratulations on the win! Was the Chryco a newer model? Jim probably enjoyed watching you race the Challenger, but might have thought the result wouldn't make very good press in promoting his products.

    Yea,

I bet he had some mixed emotions on the outside, but inside I am sure he was all smiles! Nice kill.

Nice job Chris. Its good to hear ol' Jim Bell is still involved in motorsports... even if its entirely not Buick related. Wonder why he's abandoned the marque that made him "famous"?

My buddy has a '08 Mustang Bullitt with a factory Ford Whipple supercharger and intercooler. Last month in Phoenix at the races there were three regular GT's with Jim's superchargers mounted on top. The best they could muster was mid 13's at 106 mph and were questioning the Bullitts performance of 12 teens at 114 mph. Seems like the Ford perf. division has their supercharger kit dialed in pretty well whereas Jim's kits have a long way to go. And the Challengers perf. numbers seem to reflect that same idea. Too bad :bla:

Did he come up and recognize your car and your efforts? Reason I ask is when I was driving the old KB Reynolds car at Bowling Green many years ago, he was standing in the staging lanes as I was waiting to race. I had the window down and tried to strike up a conversation with him. He was disinterested in the car and made a few smart remarks about it. Maybe he was miffed that we had it running quicker than he ever had it running :Do No:

he still likes the buick, as i was talking to him he zero'ed right in on a 69 lark
that was way back in the staging lanes
