    My experience with aluminum colored spray paint is that it is very difficult to make it look nice. I've never been able to make it look like aluminum - just sort of a messy paint job. But, maybe it's just me. Black is much easier to lay flat, especially the flatter the black.

    I've used the "Cast Coat Aluminum" high-temp engine paint on some other things, and it does look like aluminum. If you spray it on really dry, it looks like it was never painted; just cast.

    Cant remember if it was Dupli-Color or what.

    They also have a "Cast Coat Iron", but it comes out looking too shiny.

    Hey, John, you might try a can of Dry Graphite Film Lubricant from Napa. I just used some on my exhaust manifolds. It goes on very nicely and dries nearly instantly. It looks exactly like the bead blasted metal that it covered. And it's cheap enough to at least pick one up and test on something to get an idea of how it works/looks. Just a thought. Nice wheels, BTW.
