If I turn idle mixture screws in all the way it will kill the motor. This is what my gauge is reading while idling in park.

I received a notice from my stupid apartment complex saying they are going to inspect my place tomorrow am so I have had to spend last night cleaning up after my ***hole puppy and haven't been able to touch my car until tonight.
Its difficult to see due to the lighting but this is a full throttle roll on from 5mph till it shifts into 2nd.....it sucks. I looked at the centrifugal advance and it is a little grimey under there for sure. I will be installing the spring kit late tonight after I vacuum the carpet clean some dishes and put away more clothes lol.

latest fill up 15.5 gallons 100 somewhat aggressive city miles ...yikes. Also I may have forgotten to mention is that I do have the warm air system connected like normal but I'm pretty sure that it would only help the economy but hurt the performance a bit. After work tomorrow I will take a look at the distributor again.

The warm air being functional will not hurt a street car at all as far as performance, in fact it enhances it...it sounds like the engine is running with retarded timing....

this is what the centrifugal advance looked like before I cleaned it and sprayed it with silicone. Also notice what the springs looked like in the kit (black) compared to the silver ones in there now. I replaced them with yellow springs in the kit readjusted the timing and idle (distributor bolt not tight enough with wrench btw needed to use ratchet on it for leverage cuz apparently it kept slipping) it runs a bit better but does knock a lil bit up top. It looked to me to be about 34-35 degrees mechanical advance max with my timing light.
