Well, here we go again. The pos 4l60 e tranny in my 95 chevy van just died again today, cruising down the road about 55 mph, next thing I know, I'm in neutral. I believe this makes 7 times for this tranny. Last time it died, I was so disgusted with it I just sent it over to my friends tranny shop and let him deal with it, it's still under warranty. I think he's just gonna replace the entire unit with another one at this point. Yeah, buddy, the gm 4L60 e has gotta be the biggest piece of junk tranny gm ever produced. Oh yeah, about a month ago, my office manager's 95 suburban with a , you guessed it, 4L60 e died when she was just getting ready to leave town. That's number 2 for her, she lost the first one at less than 30,000 miles while the vehicle was still under warranty. My understanding is that the 95 model was a problem child. Naw, no way! Jim Burek P.A.E ENTERPRISES long live the t-400!!!!
Put a th400 and a gear venders overdrive and be done with it.Or when you put the 60e back in install it with velcro for quick removal the next time. :Brow: :Brow: :Brow:
