Truly one of the finest Buick guys to EVER walk this planet. I had the pleasure of knowing Joe for a long time.....that map that John talked about is real and never to be repeated again........
I wish everyone could live the life that Joe lived.
You will live on in my memories until i join you my friend.

    Peace WildBill

I got goosebumps reading your comments, I just spent 2 hours with him before Christmas, told him "we weren't done with him yet!" and he needed to continue bugging Bernice(his wife of 60 yrs, which made him smile) He had 6 Kids and as a great friend had me on his speed dial as #7 after their kids, probably still does. Will think about him often and miss him more than ever. He was not ill just had done everything he wanted to do in life had been very, very proud of his kids and their kids and all of you he was friends with. He was ready to move to a bigger garage and now has special tools for all of us to pray for. RIP

Guy, you probably met him at the "Back to the Bricks" when you brought the Stage 2. Was in a wheel chair then.

That's always in the back of my mind, were an older (more mature) bunch of car people, and it saddens me when I hear of another passing of a Buick enthusiast:(:(:(
Our Buicks will outlive us, get out there and DRIVE 'EM:D

Joe will be missed by many!
He was a good friend of my uncles, met him years before I bought my Buick.
The picture that Keith posted reminded me of a story that Joe told me awhile back.
The Beautiful 40 convertible that he owned was invited to a Concours de Elegance ...cannot remember where it was. He related that while he was there, he was snubbed by the "snobs" with their Dusenbergs, Mercedes etc. They didnt think too much of him or the lowly Buick.
He was invited again the next year, This time he installed some of his vintage straight 8 speed equipment on the car, with a set of split exhaust headers. Upon entering the grounds where the "snobs" were at, he proceeded to push in the clutch and rapp the throttle and startle the champagne and caviar set. He told the story with such a big grin on his face, I can only imagine the true gearhead satisfaction he got from doing that !
    God speed Joe!

He loved pissing off the establishment. His last two cars, "the Grape" and the 40 were at the funeral home today. His son Chris has the 40 and Jim has the grape.

A cool old guy who I only met on here. I remember specifically his story of owning as a youngster a 36? Buick with twin carbs and how it was the baddest thing around at the time.

Wow, I remember when I first got the 225 and I joined the BCA forum before this one even existed, having him reply to some of my posts and reading many of his just in general as he was one of the more active members there. He may have even been one of the first people I interacted with on a car forum period.
    RIP
