The drive to PA was uneventful until the rain showed up the last hour of the trek. The guy had several blocks to chose from a 71 and two 76 blocks. One of the 76 blocks he just pulled out of a wagon and he drove it last year. The other 76 he said had low oil pressure.

I chose the engine that came out of the wagon. It was a blue engine.

I took some pictures and the lifter gallery for core shift.

Looks like a clean core........how much did he charge.

I made the drive from north Central Ohio to Charleston WV and back today, about 500 miles round trip......about 80% of the trip was in solid rain. Southern Ohio and northern wv had almost ever creek, stream, and river out of it banks.

The good new was it stopped raining long enough when we got there to not have to load we purchased up in the rain, and it actually drove onto the trailer, so no fights there

Oh man ..the rain was that annoying drizzle. The mud so thick my boots almost came off. The put each engine in a different van so I was walking through a maze. Then they had a lot of work getting it out. Moved a couple of vehicles and got the skidder.

He charged me 500. I saw blue and he said ran fine last year. He was going to put it in a derby car or a mud bogger.

In the lifter bore picture, the farthest to the right looks thin but measures 3/16 -1/4 thick
