Owned, bought and sold them. We are talking about this particular car and it’s real value and that’s what my comment is based upon. Sure make it perfect and showroom condition and it’ll bring good money, but it’ll still cost more than it will bring, at $27500 the hole is too deep to recover from.
thats the price for the car its also listed on skillter for the same $27,500: https://www.skillter.com/en/ad/chevrolet/camaro/1972/3047801.html
Nice car! My dream car as a teenager. I looked at a 1970 Z28 RS in 1986, set up as a race car (not tubbed), rusty but original engine and drive train. $1500. I had a grocery store job at the time but not enough cash and my family wouldn't give me any money because the guy called my mom and said it was too much car for me.... Now I'm a Buick guy!!
That is a nice car. I have 1972 RS/SS with almost all of the same options but mine doesn't have the deluxe bumpers (rubber strips on the bumpers) and mine came with air conditioning. I'd like to see a picture of the VIN or at least the part to verify it is a real Z-28. The code on the radiator cover is right but easily swapped out (unlike VIN). Also, the Steering wheel should have Z-28 emblem on it instead of the RS emblem.
