I've got one of those 5 gallon water bottles......the old glass ones, and I've been using it so save my pocket change in. 1993 was the last time I emptied it. it was less than 1/2 full and i rolled ~$600 from it.....to help buy what you may ask ?? Big Red !! Well..... from then until when i got married (june 2001) i had been saving my coin in there - and i remember for years not spending quarters from my pocket to up the count. The jug was so heavy, that i left it at my parents house when i got married and bought our own house because i couldnt even budge it, no less try and arry it down a flight of stairs. Soooo.....Wife and I are planning a trip for this winter and decide to go to Hawaii - then we check into the prices ou: .....but our hearts are set on 2 weeks in paradise - scuba diving, hiking, Ultralight flying......now we just got to pay for it. :TU: the lightbulb comes on.....and i remember the jug She gives me the :gt: and says how much do you really think can come out of there ??!!?? We finished rolling it all last night....... $$$ 1,936 $$$ !!!! Its not gonna pay for it all, but its a nice dent !!!! over $1,300 in quarters !!! Save those Quarters, Guys !!!

I agree, I use a regular 5qt ice cream bucket and when they get full you'll have about 300.00. Have a great trip and enjoy some sun for the rest of us. :beer Well not those in Florida who have been giving us in the north so much greif lately:grin:
Hawaii......:TU: The wife and I did that 2 years ago and it was the best money I ever spent..... 5 days on Maui and 5 days on Kuwaii (spelling?). Go during the whale season (Nov to April) and go on one of the small boat (zodiac style) whale tours, its awsome... You get so close to he whales that you could feel the boat vibrate when they are singing.....very cool... We are now saving to go back in 5 years....I can't wait. The only way we could afford it when we went the first time is to use my frequent flyer miles that I accumulated from work. Paradise....... you bet:grin:
I made it to Hawaii on the 3year plan. I was in the navy. Got to go for free with the exception of the partying. Would like to back sometime and actually do some sight seeing other than what you can see at the clubs through beer goggles.
I can make money just by doing the laundry.......uzzled: How, you may ask? My wife hits the ATM and leaves the money in her pockets and forgets it is there. I have pulled $1's , $5's $10's and even $20's out of the dryer.........:laugh: Loose change is all over the house. Could probably do a whole motor just from what I find laying around ....:grin: Mark
