I was cruising the bca general forum and read MARTINSR's post on resto shops. This reply came from one of the guys over there that also frequents this board... "Welcome back! And thanks for sharing with us again. I have been keeping up with you at V8Buick.com. Maybe if they put in a General forum over there for those of us with earlier Buicks we can all leave Peter and all of his rules behind." I know the site is cluttered with forums already, but this seems like something that may need to be integrated into the v8buick site. There are lots of folks out there with pre-1960 buicks, but the only place to really talk about them is on the BCA site. But it just seems kinda stuffy and unwelcome compared to this site. I think lots of people would come to this board more if there was something for them to talk about. Any comments?
Bring em on. I want to find out who has the 53 and 54 Skylark convts I passed up for $3200 in 1977. Many of those early cars were V8 miils too. Those late 40s Buick rods with 455s are a thing to behold. We would need to get Dr Weise et al. to agree before more bandwidth is eaten.
tempting an insurrection, eh adam? actually i like the bca forum, dont really have a problem with the rules, and find the buy/sell section easier to use now that they have started to require registration. V8 buick is pretty casual but i dont find the bca too stuffy for my purposes. if i could get all the stuff i want on one web site that would be great, but this way i get some variety. i just wish they had great smilies like this one has!:stmad:
No insurrections attempted:grin: Don't get me wrong, I like using the BCA site and visit every day. I more or less thought that quote was interesting. Like the title of this thread states...Is there something like this missing on the v8 site? I think there could be room for a forum that caters to the older Buicks.
