intake to head "lead in" flow question

    i guess this may be as good a spot as any for this "general" question . on a fairly straight and fairly steep gentle bend intake port shot towards the heads intake port does the "floor" of the air path control most of the efficiency of the air flow ? from a common sense aspect for me it seems that it should . del

    also i would guess that the final lower bend ( if needed ) just before the head port opening should be as close as possible to the entrance to eliminate as much "puddling" on the floor by keeping the "flat" as short as possible .
    also - if there is a better section here at v8buick to put this question just go right ahead and move 'er on over . thanks . del
