  1. Paul, I also thought that Hagerty implemented automatic coverage increases every year... but when I got my first renewal notice in the mail last fall, it showed the same agreed value as when I took out the policy a year before that. So, I emailed them, and was told there is no provision for automatic increases, and that I would have to request increases as needed. So, I intend to bump it $1000 every year, as long as they don't object to the value. I have $8000 currently, and they said I could increase it as much as $5000 at renewal, before they might require updated photos, etc. I would have sworn I had seen the provisions in print for auto increases...do you have documentation of that?

    Dave,
I will dig out my policy and see if I have anything about the automatic yearly increase in value. When I talked to the Hagerty agent while I was doing the policy on our cars he told me they do this increase. We have an agreed value policy so I do not know if this make a difference or not.

I think this subject has been explained quite well but I'll throw my 2 cents worth in there.
I insure mine with State Farm. My agent has a 65 Mustang Convertible so she understands my situation. I pay 11.00 per month for 10K worth of insurance, and will up that to 15K when I paint the car. It is not allowed to be driven to work on a daily basis. That is really the only stipulation.
USAA is my umbrella for everything else I own. No better company of any type.... They call you to see if you are satisfied with their solution to your dilemma. How many companies do that in right now????
