I'm finally getting around to installing the tach in the dash of my '71. It's an original from a '71 GS and I've re calibrated it and cleaned up the case. I have a question about the connections on the back. I've tested the tach outside the car and it works fine with the tach lead attached to the spade lug and a gator clip attached to the case for ground. My question deals with the other connection next to the spade lug. Is this also a ground same as the case? Or, should I just install a ground strap from the case to the ground strap on the speedo pod next to the tach?
