Delmar is like 30 miles for me. The track was good today but strong crosswinds. Should be good tomorrow. Good luck!

    Bill:
Are you going all the way up to Elkton and down? A lot shorter going across bay bridge....

I went across the bridge ,very heavy traffic .

Congrats to Rick Miller for winning....I ran him in the semis and put a fender on him and nailed the brakes......too much brake....gave him the stripe by .008.

My son Matt got real loose in the 12.50 SunCoupe. MH's both dropped to 10lbs from 19lbs....BOTH had leaks from sharp stones from the pits. What are the odds!!??15min later they were flat.
At least they were equal or he might have hit the wall.

Lesson is: ALWAYS check slicks right before going down track. Not in the pits.

Bruce, how was the turnout? More turbo cars or V8?

Even though I had a rod attempt to exit the oil pan on my 7th run on Saturday I had a good time. 17 years on stock rods. I liked the track and staff I met. The track is very close to sea level too. Maybe spring time would be better as far as attendance goes? Thanks to those of you that did the work to make it happen!

I was disappointed when I arrived as there were only 2 other cars. The staff at the track.and even the owner didnt see or meet anyone running the event. It seemed like a slow test n tune day. All the parts I brought were left in the truck because there was no swap meet or anyone to ask for guidance. Maybe Saturday was different. I wasted a lot of money going but I ran my car a few times. Hope next year is better?

The problem was that NONE on the close chapters showed up !
All the support that is given other close chapters by this chapter
    was not retuned !!!!

Seems like it. I'm not even in the club and the three people that came.with me aren't either. I really hoped for a good event but like lots of others, if people do not participate, we all lose.

The timing was tough. The 23 East Coast Regional is this coming weekend at Cecil. For those of us that live a distance away the expense of going to back to back multiday meets adds up. You have the travel expense, and then hotels, meals. I would have loved to have gone, but was committed to Cecil event, and then the Nationals next month. Someone in an earlier post said Spring would be better, and I agree. When all the Buick events get bunched together you usually can't make all of them.
I want all of the venues to succeed. Organizing these meets is not easy, and is usually a labor of love, so this is not a shot at the organizers. Hopefully the 2nd annual event can be moved so that the events are spread across the warm weather months.
