Plan a trip to Florida and we will find you somebody who can provide you with some Caucasian/Hispanic children
I see, it looks good. I was tempted to say over there to get some lighter fluid and put it on those side moldings and pull them off. Those aren't stock, and they are 1/2 gone. But I didn't want to give advice like that over there, because bad things could happen doing that. It looks good, congrats! I'm surprised that Phil over there hasn't responded, his car is near identical. But...something up with him maybe, he's local and I sent him a lead on a Pace Car and never heard back. There's more Olds at the beet palace?
Thank you my friend, we are just looking to make this car super cool and reliable for my daughter when she starts driving next year. Some might see it as the wrong thing to do because she’ll only be 16 but, I started driving my GS 455 when I was 17. Before that, at 16 years old, I had a 70 SS 396 Chevelle with Cowl Induction which I raced in the high school nationals, at Milan dragway in Michigan, my senior year. I used to cruise Woodward Avenue in the 70s and 80s. I’m not super concerned about originality. I would rather sell all of those restoration parts to somebody trying to restore one to factory original. I kept my car for 40 years before I sacrificed it to the beast for legal/ $ reasons. This Car will stay with my daughter for a very long time so, we’re not super concerned about originality.
The black and gold cars look fifty times better than the white and gold cars. Looks like a very nice car. Optional seat material? I think most came with fabric. No? Would be hard not to LS that car.
Plan to add headers and dual exhaust. Maybe a cam and nitrous and posi next year. My daughter has driven the 650 hp stage 2 Car already. She knows what power feels like under the right foot!
Wow! You are bold. I would not let my 16 year old daughter drive anything that powerful or that I had invested so much time in. Just in case... Awesome though!
The ole Milan high school drags were a blast. Our school auto program built a couple of cars that we raced there.
I can't wait for winter to get here so I can comfortably spend more time in the garage! Keep telling my more significant other (girlfriend) that we need to get an AC unit for the garage...
I live in the desert SW where it's been 95+ since june, I have a large swamp cooler in my garage that if I start it early enough in the morning it keeps it 75-80 all day. Our cars stay inside except in the evenings in the summer because it's just to hot. Some of us don't even go to the track in july-aug. But the tracks down here are open from the first of march until the wknd before thanksgiving.
Last night, December 1st, was an amazing 61 degrees clear until 10 p.m. here...took advantage of the great weather we've got for a couple days and was outside waxing the daily pile, listening to the radio with garage doors open, and enjoying a cold beverage until close to midnight. 59 degrees when I woke up at 5 a.m. today, but the winds of change are happening at about 45 mph now, and next week we'll be lows in the teens and highs in the 30s. Great to be blessed with one last warm hurrah....(please don't give any political/environmental commentary one way or the other and just let a guy enjoy the fact that he got to pretend it was spring one more time for an evening. We all know everyone's opinions on the weather.)
