Thanks! Also, does anyone have any guesses on what I paid for the whole set? I'll say that there were 6 other people behind me in line waiting to show up later today to pick them up if I didn't. Screaming deal, at least I think so. Jason Cook, I'm coming for the crown :D

Since you said it was a screaming deal, I'll guess $350 for the whole shootin' match.

I'll NEVER again run a set of unilug wheels!

Had a set of Keystone Classic unilug rims on my '69 Grand Prix back in the day and those things would always loosen up, the washers would distort and I would have to buy new ones again and again!:mad::mad::mad:

With a slightly warmed over Pontiac 400 don't think those POS unilugs could handle the torque of that let alone the torque of your BBB 430. IDK, maybe they make the washers better than they did when I had those on my car back in the late 80s? But even if they did I still wouldn't trust them!

Has anyone else had bad luck with unilug wheels like I have? Will they even allow them at a QM track?

I loved the look of the Keystone Classics but the unilug hassle wasn't worth it!:(

I don’t like unilug either. Had a Keystone Raider get loose on a 66 GS once. The new wheels can be ordered direct drill. That’s what I did for the new Cragars.

I've had many different wheels on my impala how about rocket racing wheels or the cragar star wires.
Yeah on those rocket wheels last pic those are the old school 520s tires which I still have that whole set.

    Ha

    All this hype for nothing

They don’t fit, drum is too big, won’t clear outer fins

In answer to your first question. The Keystone Classics installed on my 68 had 4.10BS on the rears. They fit but slighly rubbed on the backing plate. Took a piece of thin aluminum and made a spacer of about 3/16" to fix that. The matter of the fins was cured by simply cutting them down. Note only the top row of fins were trimmed.

A good cleaning and repainting the black part on the Buick rims will make all the difference in the world. I did mine a couple years ago and was amazed how much nicer they looked. Don't bother buying those masking kits they sell. Just get wide blue tape and cover the areas needed and trim to the edges with a single edge razor blade.
