In-car vid of 13.41 run in 66 GS

Walt, what exhaust did you have on that GS? It sounds astonishing.:TU:

 

None!
Open headers with 3" diameter collector extensions approx 18" long.

Joe the fresh air definitely gives a noticeable improvement. I usually have the 2x4 carbs on there with the stock air cleaner. Ducts run from snorkels to headlight openings. I can feel the difference on the street.
This track run used a single Q-jet. A junkyard air cleaner with 2 soup cans for snorkles p with ducts to the hl openings. Air cleaner lid was smaller than the body, so it wasn't a sealed 'ram-air' setup, but did get some cool 50-degree outside air.

I'll always consider Lebanon valley my home track, but at the end of the year its nice to close out the season at sea-level vs 600'. Makes a .4 difference for me

Thanks! it was a long time ago.... 1996 I think. Used a 8mm camcorder on a tripod in the rear seat strapped down with seatbelts. Technology has come a long way since then. Time for some updated videos, don't ya think?
