Importance of the chassis?

    Given that the chassis of an F1 car (or any car) is the backbone of the car, and thus fundamentally important. My question is that once all the other various components (e.g., the engine, suspension, aero, etc.) are bolted on, at that point what exactly is the difference on chassis makes from another?
