Whats up guys? I'm new to the forums and figured I'd say hello. I just traded a softail for 72 centurion- doesnt run.. or drive.... but I'll get it there.

    Its a 72 2 door
More or less complete (plus a junky non original passenger side mirror)
Seems to be rather low optioned since it has crank windows.
Original conditipn showing 7x,xxx on odo. Top is newer and is cheap, couldn't find and paint/body work anywhere.
Has some very small rust spots here and there and a half dollar sized spot under driver rear window. Passenger quarter is great driver has a small 1x6" ish area of cancer that I will need to adress.

Previous owner bought it to restore and never got to it, I got it to sputter on bottle but tank was nasty as can be so I yanked it to clean/seal and have a mew sender coming.

Progress will be slow since I'm busy as can be and have a young family.

Nice car and welcome to the group! Sounds like you will be working on it yourself so I strongly recommend getting a shop manual. Otherwise people here are very helpful if you have questions.

Nah- no paper ontop of tank, but man I was hoping for one. Maybe i'll get lucky under the seats?!? Its a 455 4 barrell, if what little reasearch I've done is correct- centurions only came with the 455.

I found two in mine. One was under the back seat, the other I think was inside the dash.

What's the fifth digit in your VIN? If it's V or W it's a Stage 1 (big valve) motor.

Welcome from Alberta. I also recommend a shop manual. I also recommend an owners manual as it gives you the service intervals and what needs to be done. I just ordered one off Ebay for my 66 Wildcat.

Don't have it handy but its not, that was one of the first things I checked haha. I'm not a speed freak really anyhow- if everything else checks out ok all I will end up doing is full service, dual exhaust, rebuild carb, yank emissions ****, likely switch to electronic ignition and whatnot but that would be about it. But I guess everything starts off simple in the beginning haha

I'm pretty sure all '72's had a 455, in '73 they were optional.

Thanks man. My factory chassis manual came in today. Crazy some of the options available in 72- like auto height control air ride with vacuum powered compressor and other cool stuff that my buick definetly doesnt have haha
