I was directed to your site by a fellow Hobbyist, BuickJef. I was trying to get more information about Tom Shaw's new project and I sent my $ in -- like a lot of folks here -- for the premier issue quite some time ago. I checked in with Tom yesterday to check status of the magazine. He had his first copy from the printer in his hands and said the issues were going out today! Please don't pelt me with rocks and garbage if it doesn't happen. I'm just passing along the news from the "horse's mouth"!

welcome to the board. We accept all makes and models here. It adds to the flavor of the whole scene.

Just wondering about the new magazine. I have heard much about it, what is it supposed to cover and talk about?

    Thanks

    Musclecar Power mag

For those who don't already know. Tom Shaw, the former editor of Musclecar Review, is going out on his own and starting a new magazine for the musclecar hobby. The name of the magazine is Musclecar Power, www.musclecarpower.com and focuses on factory correct muscle and things that encompass the hobby. It will be an extremely high quality magazine and will be available by subscription only. If you have not already signed up, go onliine and order. We have been waiting for a while.:TU:

Welcome to the boards! First name?

No rocks or garbage around here, just Buick parts. Of course they hurt on impact just as bad.

    A little more about me...

Didn't mean to be vague guys -- just playing here on company time!

My name is John Piotrowski and I go by PonchoPio because my primary interest has been Pontiacs but, like most of us, I'm basically a nut about anything with 4 wheels! I grew up in the Chicago area and am now living in a southern suburb of Chicago called Flossmoor.

My current vehicles consist of a 70 Grand Prix and a 64 Pontiac Catalina wagon. Over the last few years I've owned 2 64 GPs, a 66 GP, 62 Impala, 70 455 GP and a big block 72 Monte Carlo.

I do have a Buick connection by way of a childhood friend that had a 70 GSX "clone". He didn't pass it off as a legit GSX, he bought it that way. It was Saturn Yellow with the black stripe package and a built, but not original, 455. The first weekend he owned it, we were sitting at a stop light on a cruise night. I was about 3 cars behind him. He decided to show off by doing the most brutal sideways burn-out I've seen. Only problem was, there was an unmarked squad car behind him that didn't appreciate the smoke screen!

Anyway, thanks for having me around. I look forward to learning and participating when possible!

    John
