All You have to do is follow the Shut down area to the Bar. That Has been done before. :laugh: (Billy Bunch, from Texas City, Vega Funny Car.)
As I stated, in the other thread, Unless You are running in the 8s (1/4 mile) You really won't be that bad.


For those that have not been to Temple, it is part of the old Highway, and the is a bend in the shutdown area, heading back to the actual road.
Very interesting Old Time Drag Strip. You come out of the staging lanes, turn about 180*, up a hill (not as big as Quaker) and You are on the Strip.
Not any "Flash" just an Old time Drag Strip. Dirt & rough area for pits, but Trees & Shade, and a Lot of Fun.

My favorite part of the staging lanes is the burnout box, they throw a gallon of water under tires to get burnout going. Unorthodox but works well!

Most definitely interested. Little River is always a good choice and we've had some fun times at previous Bashes... Probably have a few pictures to prove it!

I would be in for sure. Temple seems to be a great central area and a good old track! I think a Saturday for sure. One of the last ones was on a Sunday which makes it hard for people out of town to travel back home after.

The parking lot party at the hotel afterwards is part of the fun too!:beer

 

As long as it were with in about a 3 hour drive I'd make the trip down 35

 

The track is set it will be Little River Dragway just outside of Temple. The date will be in April or May 2014 on a Saturday. It will be mid November before I get a exact date, I will it post up when it is set.

I'd sure like to come and race, anywhere in Texas would be closer than towing to Bowling Green or Ohio :laugh: They tried having a few BOP get togethers out here at Speedworld and the Buick showing was typically 5 cars or less :ball: Maybe you can get Mike T to get the wagon running again and make the tow east!

 

Guys I'm still working out the details but mark your calendar for March 29th 2014 that will be the day! Only 41/2 months away!

Got it marked on my calendar as well and looking forward to it. Noticed a little coolant under the car this weekend and the fan was little wobbly. Good thing to catch before a race weekend, what else can I do to it while I'm in there!

 

I would attend. I remember those events also, I see my car in this photo Dean.

 

I'll be there, and invite several other Buick owners. Drag racing only, correct?
