Guys, These are for sale locally. If Dr.google tells me right they are supposed to fit alloy wheels for late eighties Buick Estate wagons. Is there any way to find out whether they could also be used as "dog-dish" in our regular steelies? Or is the clip-in system sownhow specific for these allow wheels. Thanks Patrick
THose tabs look as if they are designed to go into and grip the sides of a relief in the center of the wheel. The dog dish caps clip over a lip.
Hmmm... exactly. That is why I am wondering whether they would stick. I have tried a smoothie / baby moon cap, like these https://www.ebay.com/itm/1940S-70S-HOT-ROD-RAT-ROD-SMOOTHIE-RALLY-WHEEL-BABY-MOON-HUBCAPS-SET-OF-4/392084397299?hash=item5b4a0d1cf3:g:RMkAAOSw8mJbTUo They fit regular 15inch GM steelies and also clip from the inside.... the alloys might be special though
IMPROVISE... Get a hole saw and make a hole in the center of the baby moons. These give you a size for the doo-dah's that the caps clip on. ws https://www.ebay.com/itm/10-1-8-CHR...5&algv=default&_trksid=p2047675.c100008.m2219
