I thought I had it figured out!

    You spent $31.33 for a $2.00 diode, why???

    Could have had the solenoid for that price. At least the problem will be solved. Just enjoy the car.

    Thanks, I didn't think I could get a solenoid to my door for that price, I also liked the idea of just adding the diode verses pulling the starter again to swap out the solenoid. The less times this old man has to go under the car the better! :D

    Finally have it back together, we were gone for a mini vacation. The diode works, the starter works, and the Buick runs and drives, life is good here in Montana! Now I'm putting springs in my Jeep, why do all my repairs have to be under the vehicle? :D

    why do all my repairs have to be under the vehicle? :D Just think what your car would look like if your brake, fuel lines, springs and starter were accessible on the roof!
