i need the stant part# for 401 thermostat

    i need the stant part # for 401 180 degree thermostat,because these morons at all the parts stores dont have a parts book that dates back to `65.

    The important thing is for it to sit down on the little lip that is in the water crossover tube. I believe some Mopar thermostats fit. I'll check in the service manual when I get home. Don't you have the one that came out of the motor so you can try to find one that matches it's dimensions?

    Autozone lists 2 180 stats for a 66 401 Electra. 370-180 and 800-180 for $4.99 and 2.99 respectively.
    I would want to eyeball them first to see if they are correct. But, should be the same for 65.
    These p/n's are different than what they list for a 455. So, it may be correct for the nailhead. Might be worth checking out.
