First Overlook north of I 40 on the BRP, "batcave exit" . . .. I spent $168.01 in fuel getting it home, someone here estimated $170. . . . that is some pretty darn on the mark if ya ask me.

That’s a very nice car. Bet she rode like a dream. Kids these days have no clue how cool the big cars are.

Peek in one as you walk by. many look like rolling trash cans inside.

Ya nice car with a nice easy ride.

You read the wrong post I guess because I read the guesses on fuel cost.

I dig the white over red. It had to be a blast driving her on the Parkway. Plenty of thumbs-ups too I bet.

    350 or 455?

  8. Right you are, 350 . .. as stock as the day it was born. . . except the radio. .. that is an unmitigated cluster of . ... I was doing better aftermarket radios on minimum wage in the mid to late 80's. Haven't had a chance to dig in to it too far.

  9. No Cruise Control, but I loved the throttle/gas pedal.. . it was so crazy easy to set my foot in a place and keep the speed with the slightest push or withdraw. I don't think I want or need cruise on this car. On our modern cars I can barely drive without cruise or a ticket, I set the cruise to avoid the red and blues. ... not this Buick. It may not be a manual trans, but it kept me engaged the whole drive & without unintentional misbehavior.

No doggie in the car yet, My work days are long and my family is still in the state I bought the car.

Loose positive on the battery gave me a significant scare at a rest stop, but was figured out pretty quick. Not starting when asked is really unfun at the 3/4 mark in a trip across 1/3 of the country. The radio really sucks. if the original owner was going to upgrade, at least it should have been loud enough to hear at 70mph .. . . putting something decent in may be my first $. I bought it from the second owner who is a musician and I am amazed he left the radio untouched, it makes OEM look like a stellar upgrade.

Guy that had it from 1996-2019 is a paid musician (I say paid because people pay & I have well accomplished musicians in my house who don't draw a weekly check for their efforts. This guy does)) but the audio in my just bought Buick is earth shakingly bad! Stock couldn't be worse if a Montblac fountain pen was shoved through each speaker before testing .
