It's true as has been said here many times that Car Craft is so overly Chevy biased, so I decided not to renew. I'm going to miss it nonetheless.

Any suggestions for other magazines that would be worth subscribing and reading? Besides 'The Build Sheet' of course...

    Me too!!

Primedia promised to incorporate some of the Muscle Car Review format into CC and HR so far they still have not lived up to the promise. I am really tired of seeing the wagons an the demo derby cars. The motor build up series was good but they never installed them into a car and showed us the results. I guess they are only after the Chebby crowd.
I have presently subscribed to Musclecar Motion, and I really enjoy the magazine.
Tom Shaw seems to have dropped the ball on his new magazine. Has anyone heard when the issues will be mailed?

    Dave:
I heard from a few of Tom's friends that he's still trying to get it out ASAP. Starting to wonder, though.

I'm letting my subscriptions to Hot Rod and Car Craft run out after many, many years of both. When we found out that the subscription issue was a cost reduced, thinned out version of the newstand copy (except for the ads), via the Stock Appearing writeup a few months back, I realized the "discounts" that they advertise are really misleading. It's not the same copy. May still be worth the reduced rrate for the reduced magazine, but I'll go back to buying mine at the newstand when I want to.

I actually got a chance to say this to a telemarketer after one too many calls to me trying to get me to resubscribe and why I wasn't interested. She was cool about it. I felt better.

  4. I broke down and re-upped for another 2 years for $15. It's still better than a "vapor-ware" magazine... I also subscribe to Muscle Car Motion, which seems to get better with each issue. If Tom gets his first issue out soon, I will likely pay the $25-$30 for an annual sub to his mag too.

 Really? I never heard that before. There is actually additional content in the newstand copies? Is that the case with all the Primemedia magazines?
