    STAGE III Lost Experimental Block

Morning brothers and sisters, sorry to whine when so many have it worse but just dealing with a perfect storm of demands I would find difficult even when younger and not disabled by many old injuries. Praise God the storm hasn't allowed any of our totally soaked rots of our 200 p,us year old oaks onto our 1890 farmhouse to fall but still at risk.
That hasn't kept me from lying awake hearing transformers blow up in the distance (sleeping with saw/machete in bedroom and the ominious dance of branches on our window blinds all night keeping me awake.
For 5 months I have been helping as my body allows to clear out the closing family business loaded to the gills with heavy equipment in prep for the now seemingly impossible deadline of end of September sale closing of the building. My friend Robert(shop manager) you may remember who was robbed and viciously beaten in mid April is my only help and we carefully watch each other for over doing it and keep complaining to a minimum as neither one of us would win 'i hurt worse".
There are at least 4 truckloads of equipment left to scrap after auction and the back of our warehouse where most equipment is,is badly flooded (floods in "NORMAL" bad rains).I have been helping for free for 5 months so not selling any of my stuff to help our finances so hurting bad there too.. When and if sold (unless flooding gives buyers an out) I will see some money, wifes job is part time only but managed to dislodge sons car for her to make it to work.Barely extracted my truck (THANK YOU LORD!) but not 4 wheel drive to help much removing wife and daughters hopelessly mired down cars WAY out in our field away from the huge oaks reach.
I assembled my 12,000 pound winch with a receiver hitch mount and charged additional marine battery, pushed our inop 60 electra off asphalt into the yard for a clear shot at long run to mud sunk cars, prepped & tested my 20" Husqvarna to make clear line of pull sight, next going to untangle old elevator cable to bridge the gap between winch length and distance to cars while realizing that will reduce pull capacity.
Okay prayers may already be answering, friend said he will be here in ten minutes to help because I am spent,
Please pray for our saftey and my health, havent felt this weak and drained in I dont know how long.
Contining to pray for those in harder hit areas and for no more deaths.
Thanks for listening to me if you read all this.

Still wasn’t easy but got a quick answer to prayer on our mired down cars!
Before I could hit “post thread”my phone rang, was my friend Kenny calling to see if I still needed help (is there ever a time I can say no to me “needing help”mental mainly!:D)
I cleared small trees for a straight line of sight for the pulls yesterday and he got his rollback as far as we dared on decent ground but were about 75’ short on winch cable.
Being the ultimate pack rat though I literally had 100’s of feet of retired elevator cable, took my chain ratcheting Duke power cable cutters and cut off about 100 ft,knotted the ends into Kenny’s rig, mushed myself into the saturated ground and found good hook points, rolled down drivers windows to steer and stood behind open doors incase a cable came loose under tension.
Got the daily drivers back on terra firma! Thank you Lord!
Boy was I a sopping muddy mess though lol
Kenny went to refuel while I hit the shower and we met to eat lunch (owe him several lunches now(!) but he just said “ what are friends for?”) the scenery is good at that place though and I always get a big scream “Fritzeeeee!” and a huge from the girl working so somehow I will endure that too!:p
Still a lot to clean up but VERY glad the cars are out and came just shy of flooding, here was Kenny’s next door neighbors house the day before when I asked for help!

Thanks again for prayers my Buick brothers!:)
