I just wanted to let all of my friends know! (has been updated results not good)

Well guy's its a new year apon us and already I'm starting the year off wrong. Due to a problem that I have had since I was 13 (25 now) I will not be able to drive or do anything for a few weeks or so. I will be getting a toomer removed from my right foot in about 1 to 1-1/2 weeks or so, so no work will be getting done on my Buick :ball: . I have found everything to complete my GS conversion, and now this bit of sad news. I took out my Buick for 1 more last run on Saturday the 29th, until I get back on my feet again. I just wanted to let you guys know, and that I will hope and pray for a speedy recovery in order to complete my dream, and chat with you guys again. I will let you know when I will go into the hospital and hopefully I will write soon there after. Until then wish me luck and I hope things will work out fine....I'm not nervous, just mad that its my driving foot getting operated on :af: . Here is a pic of my Skylark that I'm working on....this is the one with the 12 bolt rear from the factory as I have been explaining for a while now  . Hope you guys like......I think I will leave her sea mist green...its growing on me :puzzled:   .

I love it Larry! After all of the green advocating I have done, you'd better like it by now:Brow: . Sorry to hear you are having your foot operated on, and even more sorry to hear it is your driving foot! I hope you make it out OK, and see a quick recovery. Maybe you can get a note from the doctor about your foot when you are done to get you out of speeding tickets? :beer "Honestly officer, I have no feeling in my right foot! See, the doctor even says so."

    foot surgery

larry, sorry to hear about your foot,I hope and pray that everything goes okay for you and that before too long you'll be back on the road terrorizing the fart pipe croud:laugh: by the way , love your sky lark. I am also in the process of converting my 71' skylark convertible into a gs clone. you know what they say:imitation is the greatest form of flattery.Or is that flatulence?:moonu: either way the skylarks are great cars but I think the gs hood and badging just makes them look that much better. hope you have a speedy recovery and god bless:TU:

    Hey Larry,

As soon as it warms up a little and your feeling better we will put on that GS hood. (That should cheer you up).

Larry.....Keep looking to the "After the surgery" perspective and things will take care of themself. If its something thats been troubling you for that long, its good to get it in your past so you can concetrate on your BUICK !!!

I waited 10 years to have my knee reconstrcuted after two previous operations.....didn't want to go through it again, but finally did and it was the BEST thing i EVER did for myself. Im doing things now, at 40, that i couldn't think about 25

We're all here for you , Bud !!

I am sure with a little fabrication, we can design a left foot gas pedal for you..... I know the feeling, I am between houses right now, and my Buick is in Storage...... nothing like FL Winters with highs in the mid 70's and my convertible is all locked up. :ball: Seriously though, Gods speed with your recovery.

    Good Luck Larry!

Larry, Good luck with your foot. I know your postive attitude will go long way to a speedy recovery. It was nice to finally meet you the other week. I hope the hood will give you more incentive to get on your feet agian. I am sure Jim will regret selling that hood but his loss is your gain. Hope to here from you soon, let us know how you are doing.

    Larry,
I hope you get well soon, and take it easy on that foot after the
surgery. It's cold anyway and this is the time to stay in the house.
and eat ,watch TV,get the computer, and sleep. So look on the bright side this the best time of the year to have surgery, and in a few weeks I'm sure you'll be on your feet again working
on your Buick. And the weather will be a little warmer.
    Randy,

Ok guys here's the deal with the MRI that I had last week...not only its a toomer, its also a group of blood vessels, arteries, and main vains wrapped around the toomer. This does not look good for me guys :( ....3 to 4 weeks of down time before I will drive and work again :( . Can you say disability...I knew you could! . Anyway..surgery is scheduled for either the 15th or the 22nd, depending on what hospital I would like to go to. It's time to blow the dust off the o'l PS2 and start playing Gran Tourismo 1, 2, & 3. . Anyway....I though this year was going to start out great with my win on the contest here, but it just turned around and slapped me in the face :( . I will let everbody know about the definite date on when I will be going in....I'm keeping a positive additude about it :) .

Larry : Hope things turn out well for you. My 72 looks exactly like yours. Sea mist green but mine has a black vinyl top. I am also going to keep the sea mist green but will also keep it as a Skylark. Maybe something differant. Good luck to you. Ken:grin:
