Funny thing about those engines is some got a cast iron intake and some got an aluminum Edelbrock. Which is yours? Bet not too many know that.

Thanks for the kind regards, everyone. I'll be picking the car up next week. Fortunately, it is only 300 yards away!

This car will NOT be restored, at least by me. My plan is to get it road worthy and rip it around the backwoods!

In all seriousness, I doubt there is another original paint (with some rust), 70 R/T 440 6 pack 4 speed running around like this. I will keep it for a while and eventually move on to the next find. Someone will restore it someday, but it won't be me.

    More pics to come!

Jim- my intake is aluminum. From my understanding, all 69s and some 70s received an edelbrock intake.

    Thanks,
    Louie

It should look pretty good if you clean the dirt stuck on the paint off! That dirt should pressure wash of easily, then some rubbing compound, polishing compound then a coat of wax and you should get that puppy to shine pretty good.(that is if in you wanted to do that?)

The first pics the thing looked a bit rusty, in these pics it look VERY solid! Shine it up and drive the snot out of it, very nice score! Is that last pic with it washed? It does look better in that one.

This has taken up a lot of my time. Working on replacing the trunk pan now. Got the interior done and the car buffed. The meguiars DA kit I bought is a miracle worker. Heads are done and have a guy lined up to go through the engine. Oh did I mention it ran and drove with the 426 in it? Roasted them in 2nd :)

You should contact Muscle Car Review. They love barn finds like this and you have all those “before pics” of how it looked when you found it. Thanks for sharing it with us Buick guys but I think you should share it with everyone. Great car and a great find.

First new car was a 68 Roadrunner. Would jump on one of them if wife would tell me the access codes to the retirement account.
Buicks are fun though and kind of a reverse snobbery thing, I got one and you don't. Oh another Mopar-Chevy-Ford, how unusual!
