This car was posted last month in Cars and Parts for Sale leads. I inquired, I had a local connection check it out for me and now it's mine! 18,000 original miles-yes it is a plain jane four door, but so what? A 50 year old original low mileage car of any make or body style is a rare find. This is like something out of a time capsule. Just replaced the original fuel pump-still painted red from the factory. Now time to drive it and enjoy it! IMG_6318.jpg

These big low mileage 4 door sedans are so solid and quiet to drive. I'm glad they're cheap :D

Very hard to pass something like that up. Really nice looking. Not sure if the stainless trim around the windows was standard by 68, but I know the earlier Wildcats that was optional. How is it equipped inside? Nice score

Yes the stainless door frame moldings were optional in '68. This car also has door edge guards, AM radio, clock, courtesy lights, speed alert, carpet savers and an under hood light. Other than that it is as plain as can be. But I don't mind. Loaded cars are nice, of course, but the simplicity of a low optioned car means there is less to potentially have to fix! The cool thing is there is still plastic from the factory covering the carpet in the back. Surprised that hadn't been removed in 50 years!
