    1978 Buick regal

    fuel: gas
    title status: clean
    transmission: automatic

This is a beautiful car, no rust, 79000 miles, new radio, new tires, new hood, needs some work but it is fun to drive and good looking vehicle for the year. It needs the radiator flushed, a new bulb for the turn signal, and it started making a noise I can't really say what it is cause I'm not very good with cars. Got it though about putting some work into it now my daily driver is starting to act up so I gotta get rid of it. Only drove it like 3 times since I got. Clean title.

I think it’s a Limited (probably a 307) with a few blackout trim pieces swapped on. I’ve never seen a factory build that was part WO2, part chrome (other than bumpers). Still, a rust free G body coupe that only needs to be de-moronized is worth looking over.

The A-pillar gauges lead me to believe it's a turbo....but could just be a boy racer with an A/F, oil pressure, etc., too......

    I agree with Patrick.
    84-87, It's probably an '87 and he's dislexic.

    How smart is this seller?

Ahhh! The magic hand trick; watch the hand make the rear plate appear on the front. Voila!! ws

I'll bite on this. First the guy fat fingered the year. Hang him from the cross already..

Second i bet it's a 307 car. The redline on the tach is set about 4200. That's about all that wheezing powerplant can muster. The radiator needing flushed of course is not good. The 307 had a habit of cracking heads

Third- one day you all are going to be having a hay day $hitting all over a car like this and find out it's a board member. Take it easy.

In no way did I say the car is a piece of crap. As stated, everybody take it easy. Your undies will thank you for releasing your clench.

Oh, and he didn't fat finger it unless he did it twice. Once in the title and once when entering his info in the parameters. The engine maybe having a blown head gasket is also a non issue for most, as it is a 307 and very few of us would run it anyway. I find the car to be worth the price if its as it looks.

I think many opinions will vary with your G-body assessment. (I, myself, am a huge fan. Love them)
And that's ok.....I was talking to you both at the same time.

Fair enough on the year. Maybe his wife or neighbor wrote the ad for him and got it wrong.

They are all JUNK!! Every vehicle ever made!!! If not,you wouldn't need to open the hood. Just turn the key and drive! It just depends on your preference as to where you want to dedicate your time and money? I love all Buicks!! Rotted to death, blown up etc. ....It gets in your blood and you can't get enough of them! I would live in a cardboard box as long as I have a Buick to call my own!

I agree that G-bodies are / were poorly built and poorly designed POS's from the git go. The windows are a joke, and my GN had plennnnnty wrong with it the day I bought it new. Some design features are just stupid.

That being said, it is still my beloved daily driver 32 years / 300,000 miles later and I refer to it as "ol' reliable." Aint gonna get buried in it, but never gonna sell it either.

They were - though however, full frame perimeter with RWD. A lot easier to fix up and add some real performance as opposed to say a 80-85 X car, a J car, or the 82 up A bodies. Was into the metric malibus for quite some time, (nineties) but discovered neither the cars, or the parts had any real value. Also was spoiled by living in a region where pre '73 cars could still be found in solid condition.
