I have been seriously trying to get to the GS NATS with my Suncoupe. I took time off this year because it WILL be ready. Now today when I finally fixed all the screwups made by the (resto) shop on my dash. None of the wiring for the power options was right, the heater vaccum lines were all wrong. I had no power to any accessories. I see that the dates are now Oct 17-20. I have to pic vacation days the prior year so now I cannot get the days I need off for the show. Looks like I will be waiting until to make that show. I am not sure if I can make trhe BPG event. I will probably make the debut at the Easter show at Forrest Park here in St Louis. Seem Dallas Jones and the NHRA have conspired to ruin my plans
Hi John, I feel your pain. You are not the first one to complain about constantly changing dates for scheduled events.
That car will be perfect for a debut at the 2013 MCACN. And this year it'll be the Class of '72. :Brow:

We've not spoken to the Drive-Inn yet, but we're hoping to have the get-together cruise-in on Friday night at Simonton Lake Drive-Inn, like usual. Saturday, we have the track to ourselves, and will hold an array of races - THS, BCO, Ladies, maybe a gambler's. I'm hoping to have another pulled-pork supper at the track. Sunday we will have to share the track, and have bracket racing and a Quick 8 race. The host hotel is the Comfort Suites, 404 North Pointe Blvd, Elkhart, IN. 574-206-1555 and please ask for the Midwest Buick Challenge to get a group rate of $72.24 per night. We also have rooms 2 doors down at the Candlewood Suites, 300 North Pointe Blvd., Elkhart, IN 574-262-8600. This hotel allows pet on the ground floor. The problem is NHRA/IHRA keep bouncing things around for the BIG shows, to try to keep them big, so the little guys get bounced. There's not alot we can do, but go with the flow and hopefully the tracks can get info out to the folks asap, but that doesn't always happen.
Roberta, my Boss is the City of St Louis and they could care less about my problems. I plan on asking my Deputy Chief if I can change the vacation dates but that is very hard to do as the schedules are set in Nov and since I was promoted to Captain its hard to get a trade situation so I'll be working on it. All shows are going to be considered for the cars first year out. There is another conspirator high gas prices this summer. Gas here went to 3.99 and its early March I expect the prices to be over 5 this summer and fall.
