Every day, M-F, I get to play weatherman on a small boat foRum we own. (www.flybridge.proboards.com). Been noting weather out west has been especially hot along with wild fires, and dry thunderstorms. Im gonna post a few weather alerts from NOAA here along with radar and regional weather. If anyone want to see their own local forecast, simply type in the zip code in the appropriate box. Your closest monitoring station should pop up; usually local municipal or international airports. Stay safe guys, and as always, have an evac. route and supplies figured out! Dont forget a full tank of full as well! ws https://radar.weather.gov/ridge/Conus/index_loop.php This is a close up of the ELKO , NV. area: https://radar.weather.gov/ridge/radar.php?rid=lrx&product=N0R&overlay=11101111&loop=yes https://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/discussions/hpcdiscussions.php?disc=pmdspd
Our weather has been great in Alabama. 75-85 degrees, low humidity and a gentle breeze. It could stay like this all summer and I wouldn't complain. But I know the mid-high 90's are coming with high humidity and no breeze...
We just returned from a week in Iceland. At sea level the highs were low 50s and the lows were high 30s. It was light 24 hours a day. The wind was really howling some days especially on top of some glaciers. The north side of the island touches the Arctic Circle so they had some snow there. We experienced some blowing snow from the wind picking it off the glaciers.
AZ here, but northern AZ 3500 ft ele, still was 105 here yesterday, less than 5 % humidity, and breezy, over 100 is rare for us, I raked tumble weeds and then played tractor for few hrs in the morning. record in PHX at 112 , (not for me)
High desert here 7000 feet. Beautiful day on tap, except every now and then the GRANDMA knocking down wind will kick , but not today yet. 81331
Been raining every other day here in Mass. pattern continues. Great for mosquitos and black flies. Just brutal this year.
Can u say rain. We have had so much rain, that the farmers have been unable to plant, corn, beans, oats yet.
I was pressure washing the back of the house yesterday, and came in for a drink of water and was shocked to see 106* on the weather station!! Then remembered I had taken the sending unit off the wall and put it on the BBQ in direct sunlight!! Last Temp I saw was 92*
73 and sunny here in Bowling Green, Kentucky today. Tomorrow low 50's possible. Mid 70's tomorrow again.
Self edited, political response not worth it. Weather here in western NY has sucked, colder than normal and rain. Very few temps have reached the normal average temp. This is the same type of weather we had the year I got married 27 years ago.
In Ohio, we've only had several dry days since April. We are pushing 5" above normal for the year and the 8 day forecast has a 50% to 90% chance of rain with only one dry day and I'm sure that the dry day will change. The news said that the farmers had about 30% of their crops planted. I thought last year was bad, but this years weather makes last year look like a drought!
(SW Ohio)...Rain...then a chance of more rain every day this week. I have not had my Buick out at all! Our wheat crop in OH, KY, IN is suffering. Hope for dry weather later this month.
