On old V8 board you could simply click on users avatar and send a PM or email.
On new board now that is not available?
So now how do you send a pm ?

Tom --click on the avatar for the intended recipient, type the message in the space and click on the read button that says, "Start Conversation"

I did and got a message that said something like type in a valid message.
I hate to say this, but the more that I use the new itreation of V8 Buick, the better I like the old version. I can't even find my messages.

    John,

In the header bar, click inbox

The old software was badly lacking support, and we had an entire database of answers that could not be accessed, because the search engine was basically non functional.

This software does virtually everything the old one did, and a bunch more.. plus the garage is back..

It's just going to take some time to get used to, and that is normal, and expected.

Well, this is a bit out of order. You need to click on Start Conversation before you start typing a message. You get a screen showing the intended recipient's name, whose avatar you clicked on, a blank field to type in a Subject, and a big box to type your message, then some options below your message to click or not.
