I'm trying to find out what exactly this rear ratio is (without turning the wheels). Is there a code, stamped somewhere. I can't find any info anywhere as to what posi ratios were available to a '65 225. Thanks, D.
There are supposed to be codes stamped on the pumpkin flange edge, but due to rust and so forth I've never seen this be visible- I'd have to see the chassis manual to quote the real ##'s stamped on there. A posi is supposed to have a circle with an x in it at the bottom. Ratios-Common 3.08 (most likely) 3.23 3.42 3.91 not so common!
