How to adjust top?

Hi, all:

1969 GS 400 - on the passenger side, the latch doesn't quite make it to the chrome piece it's supposed to catch onto - I've tried unscrewing it a little more, but am at about the end of its travel - any ideas about how to go about working this out?

john--have you tried letting it sit in the direct sun for an hour or two extended, but not hooked?

 

Not specifically, but I'll give it a shot. If I ever see the sun again, that is. Winter sucks.

Theres 2 bolts that hold the latch assembly with the hook to the frame.You can loosen bolts and slide the latch back and forth than readjust hooks if needed. You have to raise the top a bit to get to screws as there under the fabric and hard to see and reach.
