So tell me, how rare is this part. Its on my 68 Sportwagon and I have never seen it on another sportwagon. Is it just me or did this just not make it on many of the cars. View attachment 88427
I have had one on my wagon since 1986 and i have a spare bpody color one as well that can work with out a roof rack they are the best to have if you actually drive your car at all Ken
Have one on my 72 Sporty. Just an air deflecter to keep rear window clean & fumes out of interior. JOE
Still some parts for those air deflectors at www.einstyn.com (look in sales section) Some more interesting information on that site as well
god I love those sportwagons never knew how much fun buicks were till I got one and got one this board (I almost want to get rite of my GS and find a sportwagon)just haved to say how much I liked them Thanks Rick.
Im not sure about the 70's, but in 68/69 the air delfector was an option SEPERATE from the optional roof rack.
Rare option on a 68-69 and the one you have is 100% correct. The 68-69 with a roof rack was attached to the rack it self and the stainless strips just sat on the roor and were not held by weld nut, AL.
I have one on my 65 Sportwagon. It's all alluminum. I don't have the rack. Anyone know where I could find rear taillight lenses & the bracket in the front of the core support connecting to the hood latch?
Parts cars or someone parting one out. The hood latch thing should be the same for skylarks/specials - not wagon specific The tail light lenses are buick wagon specific. There is a "Parts wanted" section of the board - put a new post in there. ...also there is a Yahoo special interest group for the SportWagons and VistaCruisers and often they post parts for sale.
So, I've got a question for anyone with one of these spoilers - does it help keep exhaust out of the car with the rear window down? Holy cow my Sport loves to suck fumes in the rear and I've got the stock single side exhaust. It would be nice to have the extra ventilation without fumigation! Mel
Not on my Sporty, it still sucks fumes from the back window, sometimes I forget it's open until I start getting  at a stop light ou: Beth
